Very Odd Shady Business avoid them if u can

60 days ago i order the New Jiro With Guitar Funko pop. Today i just it and it says credit card error order been cancel never got email saying it was cancel, check my account on card to see what happened never everything was good! Don't pre-order from them, if your lucky enough to find it store go for it otherwise this is my first, and only time trying to make business with this shady Company Barnes & Nobles is much better!

Went into the Coastal Grand Mall BAM…

Went into the Coastal Grand Mall BAM today. Found a book I had been looking for called Foxfire. Was told a price by a staff member stocking at back of store. Price did not match at register. Questioned price and register personnel would not call for price override. Tried to sell me MEMBERSHIP CLUB as well. C Young.

Still no book

I ordered an IN STOCK book for my daughter's birthday. Was told it would ship out 24-48hrs. Finally get an email that it was shipped. I keep checking the tracking number and the book makes it to Ohio, but then for some reason is shipped all the way to Seattle Washington. Mind you the book was going to Michigan. Contact customer service and tell them about the issue and how my daughter's birthday has come an gone. As how do I return the book and was told unless it's damaged I'll have to pay a fee to return it. I will never buy another book from them due to their choice to use a bottom teir shipping company to save a few dollars.

Spam emails by the hundreds

Immediately after purchasing a book, my email inbox was flooded with spam emails and they just keep coming; they must've sold my email to hundreds of spam companies. Thanks a lot.

There deals they advertise are very…

There deals they advertise are very misleading. They had a company wide buy 2 get the 3rd free mix n match deal instore or online. This was true for there store locations but for online they made it so it is only certain titles they will allow the deal even though you could get the exact same books in store and get the deal. No where do they have it advertise either that it is select titles. This was very disappointing and lost out on a big deal since the closest store to me is over 3 hours away

Absolute worst customer service in the…

Absolute worst customer service in the industry. My first order, the book literally fell out of the package in transit. The second order they canceled without contacting me, it's like they don't even want to sell books. This company is in the business of frustration and annoyance, you'll never actually see a book from them.

Went in to buy a book

Went in to buy a book, I already knew what I wanted so it wasn’t going to take but two minutes of myself walking in, grabbing it, and paying but I did not purchase the book today and will most likely just order it from Amazon because I understand that you close the Beckley, WV store at 8pm but it was 7:40pm when I walked in, the younger girl with long black hair didn’t even let me get into the door without rudely telling me in exact words “just so you know we’re locking our doors in twenty minutes so get what you need and let’s go” I came in for one single book and would have been gone but it was very obvious that she didn’t want to make a sale, she just wanted to leave. So you can count me out going into this store as long as she is there. I do not like to be rushed in general but she made me feel rushed and completely unwanted, when I walk into a store I’m about to spend my money in I would at least like to feel like I’m wanted. A simple “hello, welcome to BAM we are closing our doors in twenty minutes.” would’ve been pretty nice but it’s clear that’s not what your customers are going to get so you can count me out as one. As long as she is there my business will go somewhere else. Have a great day.

BAM cheats customers on discount coupons

My main problem with BAM is using their discount coupons. I often get a $5 off $25 coupon. When I try to use it, the receipt says got $5 off on $25 purchase, but does not take off the correct amount. I must almost always go back to the store to get the correct amount I am owed. This has happened many times over the years. I have complained and told them to have management correct the problem. Nothing has been done. Two weeks ago, I used a $5 coupon, the receipt listed it, but no $5 was taken off. I returned to the store, showed the manager, and he saw I was correct. He gave me a $5 gift card to correct the problem. The cash register could not correct the problem. This week, I had a 20% off coupon. The receipt listed the discount, but did not give it to me. I did the math in my head and showed them what my charge would be and gave me a corrected receipt. When I got home, I used my calculator to figure out how much I should have received. They still owed me $1.86 that I have not gotten. I called a number the store manager gave me and explained the problems. The representative was no help, He said talk to the store manager who had already said he could do nothing. The representative said someone would call me back. So far, nobody has. If I was not so good at math (i have a Ph. D.), I would have been cheated out of hundreds of dollars over the last few years. I have complained numerous times about this problem and nothing has been done. How many of you out there do not go over their receipts like I do, and have been cheated. Tell everyone to check their receipts when using a coupon. It may say you got the discount, but most times you may not get the correct amount. They are cheating their members of thousands of dollars. Stay aware!
